EcoBoosted Explorer Sport to Launch with Best-in-Class EPA Marks

Showing off the beauty of Ford’s powertrain technology, the new 2013 Ford Explorer Sport will feature a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine that makes a robust 365 hp and 350 lb.-ft. of torque, yet still lead its class with fuel-efficiency ratings of 16 mpg city/22 mpg highway. Those numbers mean advantages of 3 mpg/2 mpg compared to the Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango with 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engines, as well as a 3 mpg/4 mpg bonus over the Land Rover Range Rover Sport with a supercharged V8.
